If you'll be participating in commencement, you may purchase your cap, gown and announcements through the NWACC bookstore located on the first floor of the Student Center. Tip: To remove the wrinkles, hang up your gown after purchasing.

Honors Cords & Stoles

Honors Cords & Stoles
If you have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, you are eligible to wear honors cords. These may be purchased at the NWACC bookstore. Veterans Cords
If you have served in the U.S. armed forces, you will be provided a red, white and blue stole to wear during the graduation ceremony. Be sure to contact Veterans Resources. International Flag Stoles
If you are interested in purchasing a stole to represent your country's flag during the ceremony, contact International Programs Honors Societies Stoles - If you are a PTK, GBP or SKD member, contact your advisor for information on how to purchase a stole. Summa Cum Laude includes degree seeking graduates who have a 4.0 GPA with 24 or more hours. Magna Cum Laude includes degree seeking graduates who have a 3.5-3.99 GPA with 24 or more hours.

Ceremony Location and Time

The spring 2024 commencement ceremony will occur on May 13th at the Walmart AMP . Be sure to check your NWACC email for ceremony details. Date: May 13th Time: 11:30 am Location: Walmart AMP, 5079 W Northgate Rd, Rogers, Arkansas.

Check-In, Photos and Attire

Check-In
You should arrive at least an hour before the ceremony to properly check in and receive instructions. You're also encouraged to attend the Alumni Reception before the ceremony. It is hosted by the NWACC Foundation. Photos
Graduation photos will be taken by a professional photographer and purchasing information will be provided. Ceremony Attire
You are required to wear a graduation cap and gown to walk in the ceremony.

Parking

Parking is available, and staff will be on-site to direct you and guests to parking locations. Be sure to arrive early to ensure you have time to park and check in before the ceremony.

Guests

Graduates are asked to communicate ceremony details to their guests, and all guests will be required to have a ticket to enter the venue. The AMP prohibits guests from bringing balloons, umbrellas, food and drink into the venue. Guests are encouraged to leave purses or large bags in their vehicles.
