Tests required for all licensure areas

All teacher licensure applicants who do not have a GPA of 3.0 on their most recently earned degree must present qualifying scores on the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) Reading (5713) and Writing (5723) sub tests or one of the alternative assessments listed below. Scores on the prior version of the Core Academic Skills for Educators (5712, 5722) will be accepted as long as the tests were taken on or before June 30, 2020.

In place of the Core tests, Maryland will accept the following options from candidates:
